Twentieth Century Fox has released two new trailers for Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, which debuts in theaters nationwide on June 22nd. The red-band trailer, released last week by the studio, focused on just how proficient the 16th president was with burying an axe in blood thirsty vampires. On the other hand the green-band trailer that surfaced on the web today deals more with the part of history people remember Abe Lincoln for.
The genre-bending movie is adapted from Seth Grahame-Smith’s best-selling novel with the same name. Directed by Timur Bekmambetov (Wanted), the film depicts Benjamin Walker as Abraham Lincoln, who is at war against vampires who are supporting the Confederacy in the Civil War. Honest Abe has been battling the undead creatures secretly ever since his mother was killed by one of these supernatural beings.
Benjamin Walker is joined by actors Elizabeth Winstead, Dominic Cooper, Alan Tudyk and Rufus Sewell as stars in Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. The movie hits theaters June 22, one score and nine days from now.
