Actress Amber Riley had a bit of a scare while on the red carpet at a TV Academy event honoring Glee. Riley, who portrays Mercedes on the show, collapsed on Tuesday while giving interviews to the press outside of the event. She cited dizziness as the cause of the spill and assured her fans that she was fine via her Twitter page.
“Hey guys, I’m okay :). I got a little dizzy from all the photog flashes!” she tweeted. “You’d think I’s be used to it by now, still a red carpet amateur I guess. Gonna get checked out but I feel fine. Thank you for all the concern and well wishes.”
Riley also expressed gratitude towards the photographers present at the event for not taking pictures of the incident. “I’d also like to thank the photographers for being do professional and not taking photos of me on the ground,” she continued. “I truly truly appreciate it. Could have been super embarrassing.”
Thankfully, she was able to attend the event, which included a panel with co-stars Lea Michelle, Matthew Morrison, Heather Morris, Cory Monteith, Darren Criss, Chris Colfer and Jayne Lynch.
