Is it a matter of being untruthful or forgetful?
Because on Friday, April 26, Guwop posted the video to Migos‘ 2013 song “Holmes” and told a story about their first meeting and the chains Migos wore. He also added a part about Offset being locked up at that time.
“The First day I met the @migos @quavohuncho @yrntakeoff both threw away the fake chains they had on cuz I gave them them both the 2chains off my neck ” wrote Mane on Instagram.
“same day @offsetyrn called from jail and told me send racks to his lawyer to get him out and I did that the same day off our first conversation #NoCap#IGETTHEBAG #1017GlacierGang,” he also detailed.
Offset later responded, and although the Migos member expressed gratitude for working with the well-established Mane early on, he said his claims just weren’t true.
“Das CAP U Know Dat,” wrote Offset. “But I’m So Blesed We Gon Leave It @ Dat… Thank you.”
But Mane shot back and said it was Offset who had it wrong, not him.
“Boi U Cap You ain’t forgot,” wrote the “Wasted” rapper next to a money bag emoji.
Both rapper’s fans then weighed in and quickly took sides.
“Mane not gone lie,” one person wrote.
“don’t disrespect u know he put y’all on stop cappin ,” someone wrote to Offset.
But there were a decent number of people who said it didn’t matter if Mane’s claims were true, he should’ve kept the story to himself.
“Whether u Cap @laflare1017, day Cap or @migosyou don’t need to post all this unnecessary story, what was the point?,” someone asked.
“some things you just keep to yourself even if it is true,” a second person stated.
