The highly anticipated Hangover 3 has rung a few bells today. Not only did director Todd Philips release a few official photos of the screen but he also spilled the beans about the film’s plot.
The director said this about the movie last year, “It’s certainly not in the same template that you’ve seen for these movies. The third would be very much a finale and an ending. The most I could say about it…is that it is not following that template but very much a new idea.” Now, Phillips has let the cat out the bag, giving a short synopsis about Hangover 3. “The Hangover Part 3 is Alan’s story,” Phillips told Entertainment Weekly about Zach Galifianakis’ character. “He’s going through a crisis after the death of his father, [and] the Wolfpack is all he has.”
Phillips also mentions Ken Jeong’s charater Mr. Chow, and said, “He’s darker than ever.” Adding to that, the director said the film is “a fitting end to this three-part opera of mayhem and bad decisions.”
Galifianakis, Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Justin Bartha, and Ken Jeong will star in Hangover 3, while John Goodman, Heather Graham, Jeffrey Tambor, Mike Epps and Melissa McCarthy will co-star. “The Hangover 3” is slated to hit theaters May 24, 2013.
EW got there hands on two first-look photos of the cast, which are on the next page. Enjoy!
