Phaedra Parks has been plugging away at life as a single mom raising her two young sons, but she has had the help of some men along the way.
Parks on Wednesday uploaded a photo on Instagram to give credit to some men who have stepped in to guide 5-year-old Dylan Nida and 8-year-old Ayden Nida as they grow up.
“Now that basketball season is officially over and baseball is in full swing I can’t say #thankyou enough to the wonderful men in who help me navigate it all seamlessly. Guys I could not do it without you @bigjerryclark @k1ng_ru @tre2free dad Freddie & @bellissimothestylist #Family #Morehouse men #blackmenrock ,” the former star of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” wrote in a caption accompanying a photo of her boys and their mentors.
Fans reacted to the post with praise for Parks, who is taking care of her sons while their father, Apollo Nida, remains in federal prison on charges of conspiring to commit mail, wire and bank fraud.
“@phaedraparks it takes a village and you were truly blessed to have those men support you and the boys ”
“Doing such a wonderful job @phaedraparks.”
“@phaedraparks Great Job Your Doing Raising Your Boys.”
“Family Values are so important. As Mrs. Parks demonstrates to the fullest. So Beautiful !!!!! I just wanna say Family is everything.”
“It takes a village and I said you got that going on girl do you blessings to you and your family.”
The star even got some love from her boyfriend, Chicago radio and TV personality Tone Kapone.
In the meantime, Ayden and Dylan reportedly have not seen their father much. Radar Online reported in 2018 that Parks has rarely taken the boys to see their dad in the maximum-security facility.
“Phaedra has not gone to see Apollo in like two years,” an insider divulged to the site. “The kids rarely see Apollo — it is just too hard on them.”
Adding that when the boys previously came to visit their dad they “cried for three days,” the source went on to say, “Phaedra does not want to put them through that. Apollo calls Phaedra every day or every other day to speak to the boys. It is 100 percent all about the kids at this point. If the boys have seen their father, it was not with Phaedra.”
