Kenya Moore’s first full year as a mom is off to a special start.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta” alum continues to bask in being a new mother to baby girl Brooklyn Doris Daly and her special message to her has fans swooning.

“I love you so much it hurts. My NYE resolution is to always protect you, love you, and be the best example of a woman I can possibly be for you,” Moore wrote in a Dec. 31 post on her Instagram page ahead of New Year’s Day. “I will be the mother to you I always wanted.  You are my life. I love you, mommy @thebrooklyndaly #brooklyndaly #love #family #baby #unconditionallove #forever.”

Fans couldn’t help but fawn over the message and they were especially touched by Moore’s commitment to becoming the mother to Brooklyn, whose father is Moore’s restaurateur husband Marc Daly, that she never had.

“That’s so beautiful congratulations again and happy new year.”

God’s richest blessings to Kenya and family, you will be the best mommy. Amen.”

“Praise Jehovah in action and deed for his loving kindness and that little bundle of joy.”

“She’s gorgeous I know that you will be a great mom Kenya Happy New Years to you and your family

“No doubt u will be the best mommy and woman u can be#Teach her how to twirl on them lol#Congrats again.”

Moore has long wanted a family and has often citing being abandoned by her own mother as a reason for desiring one.

“No one really knows what it’s like to feel rejected and abandoned by someone who gave birth to you and who treated you so badly and who hoped you would fail,” Moore, who welcomed her “miracle baby” Nov. 4 via an emergency cesarean section after a pregnancy filled with complicationstold People magazine last year. “For me to have a family of my own, to me, that’s what makes me feel like I’m at the pinnacle of happiness.”

That’s far from where she was decades ago when she was crowned the second black woman Miss USA in 1993; Carole Anne-Marie Gist had won the title three years earlier.

Moore made it clear to the celebrity magazine that she hadn’t spoken to her mother, Patricia Moore, in over a decade at that time.

“I can honestly say I don’t love her,” Kenya said. “I don’t even know her.”

Kenya was born to her mother and father, Ronald Grant, when they were both 16-years-old. Patricia was sent to live with her older sister, Lori, when she got pregnant as the incident was “considered shameful,” Lori told the publication. When Kenya, who was named by Lori when Patricia didn’t do so, was born in 1971, Grant wanted to care for her but felt unable to do so. As such, he asked his mother, Doris, to raise the baby girl as her own. It’s the same woman who Brooklyn is named after.
