Season 2 begins with Masters dealing with the ramifications of his disastrous presentation and being fired from the hospital. Meanwhile, Libby urges Masters to get another job; and Virginia fights off advances and innuendos stemming from the belief that she was the woman in Masters’ explicit film.
Masters of Sex is a one-hour drama starring Michael Sheen and Lizzy Caplan, who portray the real-life pioneers of the science of human sexuality, William Masters and Virginia Johnson. The series chronicles the unusual lives, romance and pop culture trajectory of Masters and Johnson. Their research touched off the sexual revolution and took them from a Midwestern teaching hospital in St. Louis to the cover of Time magazine and nearly a dozen appearances on TV talk show host Johnny Carson’s couch.
