Networking Nuances: Learn From the Best, Woman of Power Debra Langford

The term networking has been used so much that it’s almost become a cliche. However, that doesn’t diminish the importance of having good networking skills and a body of contacts that are both quality and of value to your career and overall life advancement.

One power woman who knows more than a thing or two about that is Debra Langford, associate director of diversity programs at USC Marshall School of Busines. The CEO & Principal at The Langford Company (TLC) has impressive career receipts, also having served as vice president, inclusion and business diversity, at NBC Universal. Successful executives all  attest to the power of a great network,and Langford has been able to build relationship throughout her professional journey, known as the ultimate power networker. “When I have made career transitions, it was because my network believed I could do it,” Langford said in a previous Black Enterprise interview. “They helped me move up and helped me strive. I had my network’s support.”
