UPDATE: Missing VA Teen Found in Arkansas with 33-Year-Old Illinois Man She Apparently Met Online
[Update: Missing Virginia teen Aysia Monique Lewis was found safe in Little Rock, Arkansas early Friday morning with a 33-year-old white man she apparently met online.
Donald Quesenberry drove from his home in Normal, Illinois to meet Lewis. He is facing two charges at this time, Christiansburg Police Chief Mark Sisson said at a news conference on Friday. One charge is related to a stolen Nissan Altima and the other for contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Additional charges are pending.]
She is 16-year-old Aysia Monique Lewis and she has been missing since Monday afternoon, when she disappeared from Christiansburg High School in Christiansburg, Virginia.
A story on UPI says that authorities fear the teen may be the victim of sexual exploitation due to the circumstances of her disappearance, though they didn’t give further details.
Lewis is 5-foot-3 and was wearing blue jeans, a black fleece jacket and tan moccasins when she went missing. Virginia state police say she may be in the company of 33-year-old Donald Quesenberry, who is 5-foot-7 and weighs 195 pounds.
They may be traveling to Florida in Quesenberry’s 2002 Nissan Altima with Illinois plates V975074.
Authorities said if she is traveling with Quesenberry, it is believed to be voluntary.
“Aysia, we love you!” Lewis’ parents said in a statement. “We are worried about you! We need to know that you are OK! Please come home. Call us, text us, Facebook us. Get in touch with us however you can. We will come get you no matter what, no matter where, whatever time, it doesn’t matter.”
Her parents urged Quesenberry to put an end to the sage by simply dropping off Lewis somewhere safe.
