Welcome to 3mhairstudio Hair Salon and Stylist

 B.R.A.I.D. is a three-day hands-on braiding workshop designed for girls ages 10–15 to explore the beauty, creativity, and cultural significance of natural hair styling. Through this program, participants will learn foundational techniques of knotless braiding on curly-textured mannequin heads that reflect the diversity of their own natural hair.

The program focuses not only on hair braiding as a skill, but also on building self-confidence, patience, and pride in natural beauty. Each session combines practical instruction with conversations about culture, self-care, and empowerment.

What Does B.R.A.I.D. Stand for?

B – Building

 Confidence, creativity, and community through hands-on learning.

 Teaching patience, problem-solving, and self-expression through the art of braiding.

 Encouraging creativity and appreciation for the cultural art of hairstyling.

 Helping girls embrace and celebrate their natural hair textures and beauty.

 Developing styling skills and techniques that empower self-sufficiency and future opportunities.

Program Goals

 

  1. Skill Development:
    Teach participants professional-level fundamentals of parting, sectioning, and braiding natural hair.
     
  2. Cultural Awareness:
    Celebrate the art and heritage of braiding as part of Black and African American culture.
     
  3. Confidence Building:
    Encourage self-expression, patience, and confidence through hands-on creativity.
     
  4. Career Exposure:
    Introduce potential pathways in cosmetology, entrepreneurship, and creative arts.
